Among other countries, Brazil has the highest number of children under the age of 15. In many third world countries, 15 million children die each year from preventable causes. Over 350 million children will be working instead of being in school by the year 2000, and over one million children (90% of them girls) will join the sex trade each year.
Through the Helping Hand Ministry, you can offer hope to one child.
Your sponsorship can link you with a special child in Brazil who needs you.
Here's how it works:
For $30 a month the child you sponsor will receive:
- An opportunity to learn about Jesus and experience His love in action
- Three nutritious meals a day
- The opportunity to attend school with the necessary clothing, books, and supplies
- Preventive and curative health care
- Training in a vocation such as typing, carpentry, or sewing, which will help prepare them to earn a living.
Children in the program are between the ages of three and fourteen, and they live with their own families. Your offering will benefit all family members. Mothers are taught hygiene, nutrition, and sewing. Homes are visited and families are invited to attend church where each member can become involved.

The Helping Hand Ministry program is an excellent project for groups, individuals or families. To help you get to know your child, we'll send you a photograph of your child with the opportunity to exchange additional letters and photographs as you wish. This can be the beginning of a wonderful relationship that richly blesses you and the child.
Where will your money go?
The Helping Hand Ministry is unique in that one hundred percent (100%) of your $30 monthly gift will go directly to your child in Brazil. This is made possible by Dayspring Church of God, Cincinnati, Ohio, which underwrites all administrative costs.
