FAITH PROMISE ~ LIVING LIGHT

A Partnership With God
Seek the Lord’s Guidance.
Trust God to help you fulfill your Faith Promise
2007 Faith Promise
Our 2006 Missions Budget is funded through the generous support of the Dayspring Church through individual Faith Promise giving. It is over and above the regular giving of tithes and offerings. This 2006 Faith Promise Budget is our road map that will help us support those ministries which are presented here. Only as the needed funds are received, can they be then distributed to the mission/project. It is our hope and prayer that we will be able to fully fund each of these vital ministries.
In addition to the 2006 Faith Promise Missions Budget you will find two designated projects. These two designated projects are not part of the Missions Budget but are presented here to solicit support for each. You may earmark your gifts for these projects through the Dayspring Church of God giving envelopes.
Thank you for your continued support as we partnership together.

Helping Hands Ministry
Helping Hands Ministry, founded by Phyllis and Berlin Cain in 1978, raises needed funds to sponsor children in the Brazilian Rain Forest. Sponsored children are given the opportunity to lean about Jesus, attend school with the necessary clothing, books and supplies, receive nutritious meals, preventive and curative health care, and vocational training. Dayspring Church of God has partnered with Helping Hands Ministry to underwrite all stateside administrative costs. Because of this, the full support ($30 a month) of each sponsored child goes directly to the schools. Currently Helping Hands Ministry helps to support over 200 children in two locations (Santarém and Belém, Brazil).

Transition Plan for Helping Hands Schools
In an effort to help make the two Helping Hands Schools in Brazil locally owned and fully run by the sponsoring Brazilian churches this special fund has been established to help pay mandated governmental taxes and employee severance pay. This will also help to align these ministries for the requirements of the Church of God national child sponsorship ministry, “Children of Promise.” Our transitional plan is a five year plan, however this fund is a one-time grant that is necessary for each of the Helping Hand Schools in Belém and Santarém, Brazil.

The City Gospel Mission is dedicated to help men and women to find a safe place to live and a way out of the cycle of poverty. We are looking for Dayspring members who would want to join one of our Missions Teams. We participate the first Saturday of each month.

Answers In Genesis

Answers in Genesis is a Christian apologetics ministry that equips the church to uphold the authority of the Bible from the very first verse. The thousands of articles and media programs on this site answer questions about creation/evolution, dinosaurs, and much more. Have you ever been asked questions like these:
- How do dinosaurs fit with the Bible?
- What are the scientific and Biblical objections against evolution?
- Does Carbon dating disprove the Bible?
- Where did the different ‘races’ come from?
- Where did Cain get his wife?
Perhaps you’ve had these questions yourself. Answers in Genesis provides Biblical answers to these and other tough questions about Creation, Evolution, and the Bible. www.answersingenesis.org

Randy Sperger Randy and Bobbi Sperger (son and daughter-in-law of our own Rudy and Delores Sperger) are serving the Lord as Missionaries with Hermandad Iberoamericana de Misiones Fronterizas. This is a missionary-sending organization. The Spergers are located in Costa Rica where they are raising up many missionaries to go around the world. They especially have targeted the Muslin community of the world. This is a very dangerous assignment, but the Lord has given favor to brother Randy as he travels the world and encourages the growth of God’s Kingdom.

MATCHING SCHOLARSHIPS: ($4500) In order to help our Dayspring Members pursue a Christian College Education this fund is established for matching scholarship funds to faith-based colleges or universities. Preferences will be made for Church of God higher-educational institutions. However, the committee will consider requests for other Christian institutions. Priority will also be made for those students who are preparing for the Christian ministry.
HELPS: (Volunteers) When there is a physical need within our congregation we seek volunteers to help. For instance, if someone needs a handicap-ramp built, or an elderly person (or single mom) has a broken window or is in need to have their house gutters cleaned out, the HELPS TEAM comes to the rescue.
Voice of the Martyr – Heralding the message of modern-day persecution of the Christian Church, the Voice of the Martyr is an educational arm of the church.
Christ Birthday Observance (free-will offering) -- The Women of the Church of God annually sponsor this missions-focused offering to be taken on Christmas Sunday. Easter Missions Offering (free-will offering) – Missions Advance of the Church of God provides this opportunity for us to give a special offering at Easter time for missions. |
FAITH PROMISE ~ LIVING LIGHT
How can we raise $54,,000 over and above our regular tithes and offering? Easy … if everyone would invest!
Below is our targeted giving plan. For instance, if 5 families in our church will invest in 10 monthly MISSION SHARES for one year their monthly investment would be $150 which becomes $1800 per year.
To raise over $54,000 we need 5 families investing in 10 shares per month, 10 families investing in 5 shares per month, 50 families investing in 2 shares per month, and 100 families investing in 1 MISSION SHARE ($15) per month.
Our Missions Budget runs from April 2006 to March 2007. This is a one year Faith Promise Missions Share Commitment.
Together we can partner to make a difference!

Designated Funds: The Joel Project
In Joel 2:25-26 the LORD says “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten … you will have plenty.”
This is a promise of God’s provision and renewal. Many of us have experienced loss and despair. God tells us that as we continue to trust in Him and fully place ourselves in His care, He will return to us what the enemy has stolen away.
Dayspring has launched “The Joel Project.” Based on the promise of this scripture and in memory of Joel Barrow we will build a needed school for poverty stricken children at the Palmaros De Jarden Church of God in Santarém, Brazil. In Joel’s memory and through the generous donations of the Dayspring Church family the land has been purchased. Now, over the course of the next several years we hope to raise funds and sponsor workcamps to Santarém, Brazil for the purpose of building the school.
The Palmaros De Jarden Church is pastored by George Santos do Santos. He is the young man which Dayspring sponsored through his seminary education.
Please earmark your special gift for this project with the words: “Joel Project”. |
