Help! I am continuing to have issues with mal-ware. I have followed several step-by-step directions in having it removed. But it keeps coming back!!!

My first hint that I still have a problem is that when I right-click my bar-drop down list it tells me I have the pvnsmfor bar. I have deleted it and have worked at having it to disappear, but it remains (at least grayed out) on this drop-down list.

About every 5 minutes or so … whether or not I have opened IE I get this web-page that opens. It has also included at times another add as well. I click close then cancel. But then it comes back again in a few minutes. (I have included pictures of it with the properties page).

I run spy-bot a couple times each day. And normally I find the Zlob virus needing to be cleaned. I “fix” through spy-bot. But still, I get these IE page adds to pop up.

I went to my firewall settings and put it back to default with the tightest security possible. I downloaded SMITFRAUDFIX (recommended by PCTools) and followed step-by-step directions to clear virus. I updated spybot. Still I am having problems.

I went to my HOST page and included the web-site of the ads that pop up. Now, instead of an ad, I have a “can’t find that page” ie page popup.

Now my pvnsmfor listing in the dropdown list of bars is no longer grayed out--- it is black with no check.

I suppose I can deal with this by simply closing the page with it opens…but still it seems that I have this vulnerable port that is allowing spyware to come in. This morning I had 44 “fixes” done by spy-bot.

I think I need to get rid of the pvnsmfor bar. Help.
