Discipleship group

A Discipleship Group is a closed, gender specific group of 3-5 believers who meet weekly for a season of accelerated spiritual growth and then replicate them into multiple new Discipleship Groups.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A DISCIPLESHIP GROUP?

Each group member focuses on five key disciplines.

Scripture Reading

Reading the Bible through one of the Foundations Reading Plan.

Scripture Memory

Memorizing and Meditating on Scripture as a group.

Sharing

Write and share from your H.E.A.R. journal, which is part of your Foundations book.

Prayer

Pray for one another. Pray for one person in your life who doesn't know Jesus.

Accountability

Engage in mutual accountability with other group members.

Each group member focuses on five key disciplines.

BENEFITS OF BEING PART OF A D-GROUP

D-Group members display MARCS of a disciple.

MISSIONAL

A disciple engages with those unengaged with the church.

ACCOUNTABLE

A disciple is real with oneself, God and others.

REPRODUCIBLE

A disciple invests in men and women who are faithful.

COMMUNAL

A disciple intentionally shares life with other believers.

SCRIPTURAL

A disciple experiencing intimacy with Christ through

regularly reading, meditating and obeying God's words.

What Happens when a d-group ends?

After a season of time, usually 9-18 months, the Discipleship Group spends its final weeks preparing to go from one group to multiple groups. Each members moves from being a disciple to a disciple maker.

what is the  curriculum?

Helping believers read and interact directly with the Bible is the most influential factor in a persons growth. The group curriculum is the Bible reading plans. Instead of using a commentary or different book. The D-group will travel through God's word together and share insights they get from their devotional time in their H.E.A.R. journal.
